People in business are aware of something known as ‘opportunity cost.’
… Or at least they should be!
The concept is simple…
If you throw your time, money and energy into one venture, you can’t put those same resources into another.
Well… there’s also an opportunity cost that applies to the things we choose to think about.
If you’re occupied with worrying, fearing, coveting, self-pitying, resenting, lusting, etc… you can’t occupy yourself with the good things God intends for you to do.
This, of course, is a big reason why the Bible tells us to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Cor.10:5).
