When Hurricane Irma stormed through our town we lost our power overnight and on into the next day.
During the night it was extremely dark because there was no light anywhere.
And the boards we had on some of our windows made things even darker.
But as long as you had a flashlight you were fine.
You could go to any room of the house and the light would illumine it.
There were no rooms where the light didn’t work.
Well, the light of Christ functions the same way.
There is no place we go in the world where Christ’s light does not shine.
His light is with us to brighten every place we go.
Scripture tells us we are the light of the world and are to let our light shine (Mt.5:14-16).
Christ’s light doesn’t just exist to shine in your heart, your home or your church.
It’s to illumine and transform places like schools, courthouses and businesses as well.
It’s to shine wherever you go.
